Find out more about The HR Exchange and the benefits of attending these quarterly free HR events.
Taylors Solicitors in association with its corporate partners set up The HR Exchange so that HR professionals, business owners and managers responsible for HR and employee relations are able to access invaluable information to help to protect their businesses, to support their continued professional development, to share ideas & experiences and to build their networks.
The HR Exchange has grown to be one of the North West’s leading professional forums with HR professionals, business owners and managers from the region’s organisations regularly attending these free events.
Events run quarterly and give you the opportunity to observe expert key note speakers on topical HR issues with an emphasis on continued learning and adding value to your organisation, exchanging ideas and sharing experiences as well as networking with other business owners, managers and senior HR professionals – and all in an informative, informal and relaxed environment.
Here are some of the benefits of attending The HR Exchange events:
At each event, we provide helpful and relevant legal updates on the key issues affecting employers to help you keep up-to-date with all the latest changes to the employment legislation minefield. This is an invaluable opportunity to get the lowdown on changes that can affect you, your business and your employees.
Every event features a guest keynote speaker who provide attendees with insightful views and input on current and topical HR-related subjects. We work hard to make each event different and we actively encourage attendees to provide feedback to ensure that future events cover relevant, stimulating and informative topics that our delegates not only find invaluable, but also enjoyable.
Once you have the legal updates and have heard the keynote speaker, we then apply these to a group HR workshop format – often the most popular and fun part of the events. With topical, real life examples, these HR workshops provide you with the opportunity to put your skills into practice whilst learning and improving your skills base via the interaction with other HR professionals.
A key focus of the events is to encourage delegates to grow their professional networks; for example, those delegates working in HR don’t always get the chance to interact with other HR professionals so we provide the opportunity for attendees to make valuable professional connections, exchange ideas and best practice and to share valuable knowledge.
We provide an open question and answer session with both the employment law experts and also with the guest speaker which enables you to raise any points that you may have. This is a fantastic opportunity to interact directly with HR and employment law professionals who can really help you and give you invaluable knowledge that you can implement in your own organisation.
If you own your own business, are a manager with HR responsibilities or are a senior HR professional working within one of the region’s businesses, then you should join The HR Exchange.
